Their Asian projects include the Vie Hotel, The River luxury condominiums and Crystal Design Center in Bangkok, and a number of other projects in Phuket, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and India. The cineplex hosted the 5th World Film Festival of Bangkok in October 2007. With a retail space of more than 100,000 square metres, the seven-floor complex includes the 12-screen Esplanade Cineplex with 3,000 seats in an area of 12,000 square metres, a 1,200-square-metre B2S book store and other retail shops and restaurants. Other facilities include a 22-lane Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl covering 2,500 square metres, the Sub Zero ice-skating arena over 2,000 square metres and a Tops Supermarket of 2,000 square metres.

J+H Boiffils had previously designed The Emporium and Siam Paragon shopping malls, two of Bangkok’s most popular and renowned luxury lifestyle malls. Their design for Esplanade covers 150,000 sq.m. The 1,500-seat Ratchadalai Musical Theatre opened in March 2007, and maintains a regular schedule of musical theater productions. The Esplanade Cineplex and shopping mall was designed by J+H Boiffils , a renowned architecture and interior design firm in Paris founded by the wife and husband team Jacqueline and Henri Boiffils.

Boiffils projects are diverse in scale, ranging from intimate private penthouses to Southeast Asia’s most extravagant luxury shopping malls. There are many restaurants in the complex, including a Food Walk on the basement level, which features a variety of cuisine. The Esplanade is adjacent to the Bangkok Metro s Thailand Cultural Centre station (exit 3). The Ratchada nightclub strip is located opposite the mall. .

The Esplanade is a shopping and entertainment complex on Ratchadapisek Road in Din Daeng district, Bangkok and the second branch is Rattanathibet Road in Nonthaburi. Anchored by the Esplanade Cineplex, the shopping mall opened in December 2006.
